You will be transported from Bogota airport to your hotel upon arrival.

Day 2 Bogotá City Tour

Bogota is a vibrant city, full of colors, contrast and history. In this tour your Bogotana host will take you to the most iconic sites of the city.
This tour will leave you with a fantastic cultural understanding of the capital city of Colombia as well as give you an opportunity to learn about local foods and traditions.

The walking tour will begin in the historical centre of the city starting at the Monserrate, a church at the top of a mountain that will make you understand how big and diverse Bogota is. Afterwards you will head to La Candelaria where your host will share with you not just the official but the non official history of the country. You will also have the chance to try some typical bites and coca tea while exploring one of the oldest and more traditional handicraft markets downtown. The Chorro de Quevedo, Callejon del Embudo and Botero Museum are some of the additional places you will explore with the local expert. At the end of the tour you can choose to come back to the hotel or leave you at the Gold Museum to explore on your own.

There’s no better way to get to know a culture than through its food — and of course there’s no better food than authentic homemade cuisine! During this unique experience, you’ll get to share lunch with your local host in their own home, including some of the most delicious Colombian dishes you’ll ever taste. You’ll get to make new local friends and learn about Colombian culture and everyday life in a relaxed, informal environment.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
