Day 1: Jaguar Rescue Center and Chocolate Plantation

Today you will first be transferred to the Jaguar Rescue Center which provides treatment for sick or injured exotic wild animals. During your visit, you will have the unique opportunity to observe and interact with exotic animals that call the southern Caribbean coast home. The center houses monkeys, snakes, sloths and jungle cats. After interacting with the animals, it is on to the chocolate plantation where the Bri-Bri indigenous make the chocolate from scratch. Observe the chocolate making process from beginning to end, starting with the cacao fruit and ending with fine chocolate treats. At the end of the tour you have the chance to buy the homemade chocolate and local handicrafts.
