Los Espanoles is conveniently located one block from the Main Plaza Villa de Leyva. It is the former home of the Soler family. With the assistance of architect, Orlando Florez, the home was beautifully refurbished into a boutique hotel. The redesign reflects a harmony of materials (wood, fire, metal and water have all been incorporated into the structure) while at the same time, preserving the home's original colonial style. The atmosphere of the hotel replicates a time and tradition when local households would open their homes to travelers. It is Los Espanoles mission to make guests feel part of a family during their stay, and invites travelers to make themselves at home.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
