Quepos emerges as a compact, thriving harbor settlement renowned for its distinction as a prime destination for sport fishing, alongside serving as the access point to the renowned Manuel Antonio national park. Set against a backdrop of rainforest, this tropical inlet presents an array of outdoor escapades. Subsequent to the decline of the banana plantation that initially shaped the harbor, Quepos transitioned from its prior industry to ecotourism. This shift has resulted in a plethora of additional attractions, encompassing activities such as kayaking and canopy tours. The region also garners attention from numerous researchers and naturalists, drawn by the exceptional biodiversity characteristic of this area.
Golfito Bay stands as a 'gulf within a gulf', celebrated for its pristine scenery enveloped by verdant mangroves hailing from Corcovado and Piedras Blancas national parks. Within this bay resides a repository of extraordinary biodiversity, positioning it within one of Costa Rica's most dynamic locales. This destination magnetizes eco-adventurers, boating enthusiasts, surfers, and nature enthusiasts alike, beckoning them to engage with a diverse range of enjoyable and invigorating pursuits. Concealed as a hidden treasure, where the Costa Rican jungle harmonizes with the ocean, Marina Golfito delivers an opportunity to encounter Costa Rica through a remarkable and fresh perspective.
Cebaco Island rests within the Veraguas province and constitutes a segment of the protective periphery encompassing Coiba Island National Park. This island stands as Panama's third most extensive landmass, following Coiba Island and Isla del Rey. Presently, approximately 500 individuals inhabit the island, with settlements primarily concentrated in the northern regions. Isla Cebaco also attained recognition for its collection of beaches.
An occasion unfolds, inviting to dedicate a day to swimming from the yacht's confines and savoring the entertainment provided by the marina diversions.
Day 6: Playa del Muerto - Darién National Park, Panama
The Darién National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site covering around 5,750 square kilometres. The park is among the largest and most precious protected areas in all of Central America. It covers up almost the entire Panama-Colombia border as well as a stretch to the Pacific. This park offers an exceptional variety of habitats – sandy beaches, rocky coasts, swamps, mangroves, and tropical forests – which makes it the perfect home for diverse wildlife. There are two indigenous tribes, for both Panama and Costa Rica, which live today on the park’s riverbanks.
Today's expedition will uncover the Pearl Islands, situated along the Pacific Coast of Panama within the Gulf of Panama. A voyage to any of the 200 islands and islets, with numerous being small and devoid of habitation, will grant the pleasure of basking on exquisite beaches and exploring captivating coral reefs. Although pearls are no longer attainable, an encounter with diverse fish and marine creatures awaits.

We are so glad that we chose Adventure Life. The service is top-notch. Everything is well taken care of and we just have to print the documents and go. Franny even gave us timely updates on possible airport strike.

Adventure Life took care of everything! All we had to do was show up when we were supposed to, which made our first trip to Costa Rica largely stress-free and incredibly fun. Our trip reps, Hannah and Mariethony, were helpful and responsive, getting back to us by email usually within a few hours. Our accommodations were all great, and we got incredibly blessed with some absolutely stellar guides and drivers.
Our Jungle & Beach trip was an excellent balance of adventure and rest. We got to try out a lot of different activities, including snorkeling, hiking, white water rafting and kayaking, while also partaking of some rest around the pool or by the ocean. We enjoyed seeing and exploring the beautiful Caribbean side of the country.
