Piran is the perfect introduction to Slovenia. Perched on a tiny peninsula, it gazes out on to the Adriatic Sea and is home to a wonderfully preserved Old Town, a winding network of colourful Venetian Gothic buildings, quiet squares and excellent seafood restaurants.
Set on a peninsula, the historic city of Zadar has relics of bygone eras scattered across its landscape. Among the churches and Roman ruins, the Sun Salutation and Sea Organ are two of the city’s more modern, and curious, attractions.
The sixth-largest island in the Adriatic, Korcula is among the most beloved in Croatia. Its Old Town, referred to by the locals as “Little Dubrovnik”, is a delightful collection of medieval churches, palaces and squares, while the villages of Cara and Smokvica produce the country’s signature dry white wine.
The unmistakable terracotta buildings welcome you to Dubrovnik. Once described as “paradise on earth”, the city’s old town has centuries of history ingrained into its walls. It’s home to an array of churches, museums and galleries including the 7th century Cathedral of the Assumption.
There are not enough words to describe the beauty of Kotor. Nestled between imposing mountains and the blue of the Adriatic Sea, this UNESCO World Heritage-listed setting is awash with Venetian palaces, cobblestone streets and cute cafés.
Known for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed St James’ Cathedral and its famous black and orange hat, Šibenik is a city of tradition. The oldest native town in the country, its origins trace back to 1066; you’ll find history at every turn of its medieval streets and Square of the Four Wells.
There is an artistic masterpiece at every turn in Ravenna. Situated in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, the city is known for its stunning 5th and 6th century mosaics, most strikingly at the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placida.
Enchanting, elegant and unique, Venice is a city unlike any other. Built on a lagoon, its famous waterways are filled with the sound of serenading gondoliers, while its squares are home to marble palaces including the awe-inspiring Palazzo Ducale.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
