The newly renovated 76-guest Wilderness Explorer is equipped for action, adventure, and exploration. As with her sister “Wilderness” ships, its interior complements the outside and public and private spaces are loaded with amenities. The ship offers a main lounge that evokes the feel of a National Park Lodge or neighborhood pub, dining room, and ample space on deck for taking in the great outdoors.

Cabin Specifications
The Wilderness Explorer accommodates up to 76 guests in three cabin categories—Trailblazer, Pathfinder, and Explorer—each offering comfortable single and double accommodations. All cabins are located above deck, ensuring natural light and scenic views through large windows. Every cabin features a flat-screen TV and DVD player, as well as an iPod docking station for entertainment and relaxation after a day of exploration. Designed with practicality and comfort in mind, these staterooms provide guests with a peaceful retreat that blends modern convenience and expedition-style charm.

Features Onboard
Adventure, exploration, and comfort come together aboard the Wilderness Explorer, a newly renovated expedition vessel purpose-built for Alaska’s remote and rugged waters. With its casual yet inviting atmosphere, the ship’s design reflects the spirit of exploration—offering both the amenities of a boutique lodge and the freedom of small-ship adventure.

The Wilderness Explorer’s three decks are fully equipped for both relaxation and active pursuits. Guests can soak in breathtaking scenery from the bow or unwind under the stars in one of two outdoor hot tubs. The ship also features an on-deck sauna, fitness equipment, and a spacious sun deck with an open bridge and shaded sitting area. The Lounge Deck offers wrap-around glass windows in the main lounge, where guests can enjoy a cheerful bar, a limited wildlife library, and a large flat-screen TV showing GPS maps, underwater footage from the bow-mounted camera, and daily expedition videos.

Dining onboard is open-seating, featuring a mix of buffet-style and plated meals served at set times. Guests enjoy unlimited beverages—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—throughout the cruise, including at mealtimes and in the lounge. The ship’s culinary team accommodates vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free preferences, ensuring all travelers are well cared for.

When it comes to adventure, the Wilderness Explorer is fully outfitted for action. Its EZ Dock launch platform provides easy access to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding, or snorkeling, even for first-timers. Guests can also use inflatable skiffs, hiking poles, yoga mats, and snorkel gear or wetsuits for active excursions. The ship’s hydrophone and underwater camera bring the hidden world beneath the waves to life, with real-time footage streamed to the lounge and cabins. Whether exploring Alaska’s secluded fjords or relaxing on deck with new friends, the Wilderness Explorer offers an unforgettable balance of excitement, comfort, and discovery.
