Day 1: Southampton, United Kingdom | Embark

You begin your cruise in Southampton, a city with a long maritime history. Explore the SeaCity Museum, see the medieval city walls, or visit the Tudor Merchant’s Hall before boarding Silver Dawn.

Day 2: St Helier, Jersey

You explore St Helier, the capital of Jersey and the largest of the Channel Islands. Visit the German Occupation tunnel network, see Elizabeth Castle on its tidal causeway, explore the central market, or walk along the seafront of St Aubin’s Bay.

Day 3: Saint Malo (Brittany), France

Guarding Brittany’s northern coast, Saint-Malo is a granite-walled port where golden beaches, island forts, and sea air frame one of France’s most storied maritime cities. Once home to sailors, explorers, and the privateers that earned it the nickname Pirate City, it still looks outward with unmistakable confidence. Walk the ramparts and old lanes to feel a destination shaped by tides, adventure, and the long pull of the Atlantic; for cruise travelers, it offers an arrival rich in atmosphere, beauty, and a strong sense of place.

Day 4: At Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 5-7: Bordeaux, France

Bordeaux is a compelling French stop where the name alone conjures images of sun-ripened grapes, splashes of refined flavor, and the joy of clinking glasses. The acclaimed, sensory experience of Cité du Vin wine museum lets you put your own nose to the test, learning more about the craft involved in producing world-class vintages. Bordeaux is synonymous with quality and prestige, and the promise of endless opportunities to sample the city's famous, full-bodied red wines makes a visit to this elegant French port city one to truly savor.

Day 8: Bilbao, Spain

Bilbao is a compelling stop where the relentless drive to all things beautiful may be a reaction to the city's industrial past, but it has led this Basque city to emerge as a new beacon of artistry. Whether it's the flow of its boundary-pushing architecture, delights of its finger food tapas, or sweeps of gorgeous shoreline nearby, Bilbao is a city that places a premium on aesthetics. Morning flea markets regularly overtake it, offering opportunities to pick through piles of coins, dusty books, and rusted antiques on the hunt for bargains, in this most elegant setting.

Day 9: Santander, Spain

Santander reveals a different Spain, one shaped by Atlantic light, elegant seafronts, and a long, layered history. Noble buildings, broad bays, and beaches such as El Sardinero give the city a refined presence, while its roots stretch back through Roman and medieval eras. This is a rewarding northern stop for travelers drawn to understated beauty, maritime heritage, and the quieter sophistication of Cantabria’s coastal capital framed by the calm grandeur of the north coast.

Day 10: At Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 11: Vigo (Galicia), Spain

On Spain’s Atlantic northwest, Vigo combines the practical energy of a major fishing port with the green, sea-shaped character of Galicia. The old quarter, oyster stalls, and views across the Ría de Vigo offer a more intimate side of the city, while nearby beaches, islands, and Celtic-inflected landscapes broaden its appeal. It is a destination that may not advertise itself loudly, which only makes its authenticity more persuasive; rewarding an unhurried visit and revealing a destination that feels polished, distinctive, and genuinely memorable.

Day 12: Oporto (Leixões), Portugal

Oporto brings together Portugal’s Atlantic islands and seafaring heritage in a way that feels unmistakably its own. The atmosphere deepens around Porto wine and historic landmarks Oporto, revealing a destination with more than one register and a natural elegance that grows clearer as you explore. This is the sort of destination that turns a port call into a story, thanks to its beauty, history, and the lived character that gives every scene greater resonance, and it feels worthy of more than a passing glance.

Day 13: Lisbon, Portugal | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Lisbon is one of Europe's most captivating capitals, built across seven hills above the Tagus estuary with a quality of light no other Atlantic city quite replicates. Alfama's cobbled streets, azulejo tile facades, and hilltop miradouros offer a layered, unhurried beauty, while the Tower of Belém and Jerónimos Monastery mark Portugal's Age of Discovery at the river's edge. The pastéis de nata and a glass of Ginjinha complete a portrait of a city that has been getting things quietly, confidently right for a very long time.
