Stanley, also known as Port Stanley, is the capital of the Falkland Islands, which are part of the United Kingdom's territory. This small town has a population of 2,500 out of the 3,400 total residents on the islands, making it a relatively populous destination and extremely important in many ways. Some of the landmarks in Stanley include the Christ Church Cathedral, the 1982 Liberation Memorial Monument, the Falkland Islands National Museum, the National Trust, and the well-known Whale Bone Arch. If exploring the city doesn't interest you, visit Gypsy Cove for scenic relaxation.
