Ideally situated in the midst of Damaraland's heat, dust and stunning scenery, Mowani Mountain Camp offers a sanctuary for those visiting this unique desert landscape. The camp is nestled amongst granite boulders, overlooking the Aba Huab Riverbed where desert-adapted elephants often wander through. The thatched dome structures echo the shape of the surrounding granite, a theme of natural African elegance that is complimented throughout the camp. Each thatched suite is set on a raised wooden platform, offering a private veranda and outstanding views over the Aba Huab Valley.
Mowani's main complex consists of a reception area, bar, spacious dining room, and a lounge overlooking a waterhole. In the evenings, guests congregate around the inviting fireplace, sharing stories of adventure from the day in Damaraland. Cool down with a swim in the pool, which also offers a fantastic sundowner viewpoint.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
