Hotel Patio del Malinche is a charming, family-run guesthouse in the heart of Granada, Nicaragua. Set in a restored colonial home, the hotel preserves its historic character while offering modern comforts. Traditional terracotta tiles, exposed wood beams, and peaceful courtyards reflect the city’s Spanish-colonial heritage, creating a welcoming and tranquil retreat.

The hotel is built around three patios, each with distinct features. The first patio showcases a lush tropical garden framed by covered walkways, while the second centers around a swimming pool, providing a refreshing escape. A recent expansion introduced a third patio area and upgraded superior rooms, blending traditional architecture with enhanced amenities.

Guests can choose from 20 well-appointed rooms, all with direct access to the terraces, gardens, or pool. Each room includes air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable television, a ceiling fan, and a safe deposit box. The hotel’s inviting common areas feature a courtyard pool, hammock-lined patios, and an open-air dining space where a freshly prepared à la carte breakfast is served daily, including tropical fruit juices.

Conveniently located on El Caimito Street in central Granada, the hotel is within walking distance of the city's main attractions, offering an ideal base for exploring historic sites, vibrant markets, and the scenic shores of Lake Nicaragua.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
