Jicaro Island Ecolodge is found on a private island among the isletas near Granada on Lake Nicaragua. Featuring wonderful views of the Mombacho Volcano, the lodge is a quick boat ride away from the fascinating colonial town of Granada.
The lodge features nine casitas which serve as backdrops for romance, adventure, and fun. Each casita has lake views and all are within short walking distances from the pool, restaurant, and wellness center. The casitas and furniture are made locally from certified Rainforest Alliance wood.
Jicaro features an open kitchen next to the restaurant, allowing guests the chance to watch as their dinners are prepared. The chef has created a menu with a variety of options which will satisfy every palate. Fresh fish, local vegetables, and locally farmed chicken and beef ensure that each meal is delicious.
Popular for its secluded location, Jicaro is known as being a tranquil and relaxing getaway for travelers on Nicaraguan tours.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
