Welcome to Buenos Aires, where you can enjoy an overnight hotel stay. Often called the 'Paris of South America,' the city blends European architecture, leafy boulevards, and vibrant street life with Latin American energy. Highlights include La Boca, a lively district renowned for its vibrant facades and open-air art displays, and San Telmo, once an elite neighborhood transformed after a 19th-century epidemic. Today, its historic mansions house boutique hotels, antique shops, and tango clubs, creating a distinct bohemian character.
From Buenos Aires, your included flight transfers you to Ushuaia, located on the main island of Tierra del Fuego and recognized as the world’s southernmost city. Upon arrival, be welcomed aboard your ship by the Captain and crew.
Mark the beginning of your expedition with a toast as you depart South America and sail through the tranquil Beagle Channel, named after the vessel that carried Charles Darwin on his historic voyage. Watch out for whale blows in the distance and your expert polar Discovery team will be on hand to provide and answer any insightful information. Comprised of up to 20 members, this team of geologists, historians, ornithologists, marine biologists, and glaciologists is at the heart of your Antarctic Voyage.

Discovery: Daily experiences may include cruising on Zodiacs, stepping ashore to view vast penguin rookeries or historic huts, and kayaking or paddle boarding around icebergs. Wherever your voyage takes you, you can have countless “pinch me" moments.
Remarkable wildlife encounters await during your time exploring Antarctica. Going ashore to visit a penguin colony is an unforgettable experience.
For a truly unique and exclusive experience, book a helicopter excursion to visit Snow Hill Island (subject to weather and operational conditions). This is home to a colony of around 10,000 Emperor penguins. Departing by helicopter from your Discovery Yacht, land on Snow Hill Island and walk 1.5 kilometers with your Discovery Team to see the colony. The Emperor penguins are only present at this location at the start of the Antarctica season and there are only a couple of voyages with this experience each season.
Discovery: Explore by Zodiac, kayak or stand-up paddle board with possible shore landings (weather and ice permitting). To see Antarctica from above or below the horizon book a helicopter or a submersible experience.
Various species of penguins can be found in Antarctic and the sub-Antarctic region, including Adélie, Chinstrap, Gentoo, and the very rare Emperor penguins. Guided by the expert Discovery Team, you can witness colonies up close; hear their mighty calls and watch as they clumsily waddle along and interact with each other.
Whales are another majestic creature you may encounter, whether a minke, a humpback or an Orca. Watch them from the comfort of your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, in a Zodiac with an experienced Discovery Team member, or from their level in a kayak or stand-up paddle board – a breathtaking experience.
Discovery: When enjoying daily Scenic Discovery excursions, ask for your expert Discovery Leader for photography tips and guidance on how to spot the wildlife around you. Lemaire Channel (subject to weather and operational conditions) is renowned for its picturesque views and often referred to as 'Kodak Alley', could be your next exciting destination. If during your voyage your Discovery Yacht weaves through this channel, make sure you set your alarm and embrace the cool air from the Observation Terrace. Pass through the 11-kilometer-long channel, just 700 meters wide at its narrowest point, and be amazed at the dramatic rocky mountains and glowing blue icebergs so close to the ship.

Wake up early this morning to watch the sun rising over the falls, a truly unforgettable experience. Then enjoy a leisurely tour to discover the Brazilian side of the falls. Stand on the walkway in the middle of the falls and be awed by this vast spectacle with 275 individual cascades spread over a four-kilometer crescent shaped cliff. Enjoy a lunch with a beautiful view inside the National Park.
After lunch, take an exhilarating jet boat ride towards the base of the falls and feel its spray on your face..

Day 18: Iguazu Falls

Around 80 per cent of the falls are on this side of the border and the many walkways that thread between the upper and lower falls allow you to get closer into the cliff face. Walk to the lookout where you can see the famous Devil’s Throat, the largest and most formidable waterfall within the entire system. Be awed by the sheer volume of water cascading over the falls.
Day 19: Iguazu Falls | Rio de Janeiro

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
