In the evening, depart for Gardens by the Bay, Singapore’s impressive attraction of greenery spread over 101 hectares right in the heart of the city. Enjoy the synchronized light and music show performed under the Super Trees at 7.45 pm. (Light Show will not be on the weather not permitting.)
Visit Marina Bay Sand’s SkyPark, an iconic platform built 200 m in the air that offers a 360-degree view of the light. The skyline of Singapore extends to the Riau Islands in Indonesia. Board River Taxi for a 20-minute ride up the Singapore River to Clarke Quay passes historical bridges and buildings built a century ago.
Enjoy your city tour by driving around the Civic District, passing by the Padang, Singapore Cricket Club, the historic Parliament House, and the National Gallery Singapore. Stop at the Merlion Park and enjoy the impressive views of Marina Bay. Do not miss out on this picture-taking opportunity with The Merlion, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. Visit Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, before driving past Chinatown. Proceed to Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site—the Singapore Botanic Gardens—and walk through the National Orchid Garden, which boasts a sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants.
In the afternoon, depart for a River Safari, Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park, a wildlife haven that houses over 6,000 animals, including 40 threatened species. Be delighted with the giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, in Southeast Asia’s largest giant panda exhibit and the Amazon Flooded Forest, the world’s largest freshwater aquarium themed after the flooded Amazon Forest. Enjoy your boat ride on the River Safari Cruise.
