Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge

Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge sits on a ridge overlooking Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, Africa’s oldest proclaimed game reserve. Its contemporary design features glass walls, open spaces, and a deck overlooking a wildlife waterhole. Built on Mpembeni community land, the lodge operates as a community partnership, with 97% of staff drawn from the local community. Sustainability initiatives include solar power, reusable water bottles, and local sourcing.

Rooms & Suites
The lodge has 16 rooms across four categories: Honeymoon and Luxury Bush Villas, Safari Rooms, and Safari Family Rooms. All feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, private decks, minibars, safes, and tea and coffee facilities. Villas also have bathtubs and mosquito nets. Wi-Fi is unavailable in rooms, and intercom phones are provided. Smoking is prohibited indoors, wheelchair access is limited, and laundry is available at extra cost.

The main lodge has a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with pre-booked halaal meals available. A bar, lounge with fireplace, library, and board games provide shared spaces. Facilities include an infinity pool, outdoor fire pit, spa, gym, and curio shop. Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge only, with 250 MB free daily. Childminding can be arranged in advance. Lodge access follows park gate hours, and transfers are available via Hluhluwe Aerodrome from Durban Virginia or Richards Bay airports.
