The Peech Hotel

The Peech is a boutique hotel in a restored 1950s residence, set within two acres (0.8 ha) of gardens in Johannesburg’s Melrose neighborhood. Opened in 2004, it features interiors by local designers and holds Fair Trade Tourism certification. Sustainability initiatives include composting, recycling, and energy-efficient water heating. The hotel also supports local charities and community projects.

Rooms & Suites
The hotel has rooms across four categories, from 40 sq m (430 sq ft) Classic Rooms to 75 sq m (807 sq ft) two-bedroom Villas. All feature air conditioning, HD TVs, Wi-Fi, Nespresso machines, minibars, and private outdoor spaces. Beds are available in king or twin configurations. En-suite bathrooms have Charlotte Rhys toiletries and bathrobes. Cots and extra beds are available for children, depending on room type.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
The Pot Luck Club serves globally inspired sharing plates, while the guest-only Peech Garden Restaurant offers seasonal meals throughout the day. Three bar areas serve drinks and snacks, and restaurant menus are available through room service. Facilities include two outdoor pools, gardens, and a nearby gym available for a fee. A boardroom accommodates 16 delegates, while private dining at The Pot Luck Club hosts up to 45 guests. Services include secure parking, airport transfers, chauffeured car hire, luggage storage, and laundry and dry cleaning at extra cost.
