Hoyo Hoyo | Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park

Hoyo Hoyo takes its name from the Tsonga word for “welcome.” The lodge stands on an ancient elephant route along the Mluwati River. With only six thatched suites, it stays small, quiet and personal. Guests get welcome drinks on arrival and butler service throughout their stay. A watering hole near the lodge draws wildlife, and each suite has its own deck for game viewing. Guests can also learn about the lifestyle and culture of the local Shangaan people. There is no cell service at the property, and guests must be at least 8 years old.

The lodge has six thatched suites, all furnished in the same style. Every suite has a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, an outdoor shower and a private deck for game viewing. Bottled water is provided. The source doesn’t confirm climate control, Wi-Fi, accessibility or other in-room features.

We had a fabulous time. Especially seeing the animals and the great driver/guides that we had at Tamarak and Rhino Walking Safari Lodges. We were very pampered the whole time. The staff were extremely friendly and seemed genuinely to enjoy their jobs. This seemed to mean me that they are treated fairly by the employers. We can not say enough about our trip. Don't count on losing weight, they feed you constantly!
