Tanda Tula Safari Camp

Tanda Tula has operated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve since 1977 and is co-owned by four local families. Set beside the Nhlaralumi River, the reserve shares unfenced borders with Kruger National Park and offers low-density safari experiences. The camp’s interiors feature Tsonga-inspired art and design, while solar power supports each suite. A nightly Sustainability Levy funds conservation, community development, education, and healthcare projects.

Rooms & Suites
The camp has nine canvas-and-glass suites: seven Safari Suites and two Family Suites. Each features an open-plan bedroom, separate lounge, wraparound deck, and private plunge pool overlooking the riverbed. Amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, charging stations, minibar, tea facilities, and a bean-to-cup coffee machine. En-suite bathrooms have a bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers, and toiletries. The camp accommodates guests with mobility challenges.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
The main area features a lounge, fireplace, bar, dining room, library, and swimming pool. Meals include South African cuisine, snacks, and selected drinks, with flexible dining options in the boma, riverbed, or suites. Facilities include a waterhole hide, air-conditioned gym, firepit, treatment room, and curio shop. Massages and body treatments are available at extra cost. Laundry, airstrip transfers, and Wi-Fi are included. Children aged six and older are welcome, and the camp operates year-round.
