Rhino Post Safari Lodge

Rhino Post Safari Lodge occupies an unfenced wilderness concession bordering Mala Mala and Sabi Sands, allowing wildlife to move freely between reserves. Overlooking the dry Mutlumuvi riverbed, the lodge features thatched suites raised on stilts and connected by wooden walkways through riverine trees. Its design uses large glass doors and open spaces to bring the bush into view. The lodge is Fair Trade certified and follows a strict no off-road policy. Solar-independent battery power supports lights and fans overnight, while filtered water is served in refillable glass bottles.

Rooms &Suites
The lodge has eight canvas, wood, and thatch suites raised on stilts, each about 10 m (33 ft) apart. Every suite sleeps two and features large windows, a private river-facing deck, and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath, outdoor shower, and double vanity. Standard amenities include ceiling fans, mosquito nets, electric blankets, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and charging points. There is no air conditioning. One rollaway bed for a child under 16 can be added per suite. Main electricity runs from 5:00 AM to approximately 10:30 PM, with batteries powering lights and fans overnight. Wi-Fi is limited to reception, and there is no cellphone coverage. Suites are not wheelchair accessible, and the lodge is in a malaria area.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
The lodge offers indoor and outdoor dining, communal meals, private dinners, and a lounge bar overlooking a waterhole. Facilities include a main deck with a fire pit, South African wine cellar, swimming pool, reception, curio shop, and Dobsonian telescope for stargazing. In-room massages and spa treatments are available with 24 hours' notice. Laundry and childcare services are available at extra cost. Rates include all meals, high tea, and two daily game drives. Guests with their own vehicles can also explore Kruger's public tourist roads during gate hours.
