Moditlo River Lodge is located in the Moditlo Private Game Reserve just beyond the gates of South Africa's renowned Kruger National Park. Moditlo, means "place of the elephant", and the gentle grace of this extraordinary animal is felt throughout the lodge and its surroundings.
The lodge is designed to offer guests an authentic yet luxurious South African safari experience. The main lodge is constructed with natural wood and thatch from the surrounding areas, featuring ample deck space and verandas that wrap around the various dining and entertainment areas. Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
