Day 2: Khanom & Surrounding Villages

Start the day in Baan Laem Village, engaging with locals who turn fishing nets into clothing and natural mud into beauty products. Create your own tie-dye shirt before boarding a boat to a mud-rich area for a refreshing mud bath or swim. Contribute to mangrove conservation by planting trees, then enjoy a seafood-focused lunch made with organic, locally sourced ingredients.

In the afternoon, visit Wat Phaisan Sathit, shaded by centuries-old Bodhi and Banyan trees. Continue to Mae Thong Pring coconut plantation to taste fresh coconut sugar and make traditional Thai caramel. Shape your own pottery at a village workshop while sipping honey-lemon tea from a clay cup. End the day at the Nakhon Si Thammarat Cocoa Bean Learning Center, where you’ll follow the bean-to-bar chocolate-making process and sample fresh chocolate.

Day 3: Transfer to Nakhon Si Thammarat

Begin with breakfast at Aalto Restaurant before departing for Nakhon Si Thammarat. Visit Wat Phra Mahathat, southern Thailand’s most revered temple, and browse for local silverware and handicrafts. Watch a traditional shadow puppet performance at the House of National Arts, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Kiriwong Handicraft Village to explore handmade products and take in scenic mountain views. Travel onward to Phatthalung and spend the evening at leisure.

*Several activities include temple visits. Please dress appropriately, ensuring shoulders and knees are covered. Shoes must be removed before entering temples.

Travel from Khanom to Khao Sok on a private 4-hour transfer. In the afternoon, join the Organic Farm Cooking Experience at Rungfah Organic Farm. Stroll through the gardens to pick fresh, seasonal ingredients, then learn traditional techniques such as boiling rice in bamboo, making fresh coconut milk, and grinding aromatic curry paste. Under expert guidance, prepare a selection of classic Thai dishes and enjoy your meal surrounded by the lush scenery of Khao Sok National Park.

Day 6: Cheow Lan Lake| Khao Sok National Park

Discover Cheow Lan Lake, the jewel of Khao Sok National Park, where emerald-green waters stretch between dramatic limestone cliffs and dense jungle. Board a boat to a traditional raft house, the park’s iconic floating bungalows, where you can swim in the cool, clear water or paddle a kayak to hidden inlets.
For those wanting to explore further, trek along scenic jungle trails to reach waterfalls deep in the forest or venture into mysterious caves that reveal the region’s raw beauty. Throughout the day, immerse yourself in the lake’s tranquil atmosphere and lush surroundings before enjoying lunch on the water. Return in the late afternoon with lasting memories of one of southern Thailand’s most breathtaking landscapes.

Day 7: Koh Surin Island

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Travel from Khao Sok to Kuraburi Pier on a private 2.5-hour transfer, then board a speedboat to Surin Island. On arrival, settle into your tent at the National Park and relax on the island’s pristine beach before enjoying lunch at the park restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit a Moken village with a local guide and learn about the community’s deep connection to the sea and forest. Discover the meaning of the “Spirit Poles” and see the stilted homes along the shore. Take part in a handicraft workshop where you will weave a bracelet from forest Pandanus leaves. Continue with a forest hike, identifying medicinal herbs, edible plants, and traditional building materials used in Moken houseboats and homes.
End the day with a snorkeling trip among coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life, while learning about the Moken’s remarkable free-diving and swimming skills. Return to the park headquarters at sunset, keeping watch for flying lemurs and macaques, and spend the night in a beachside tent.

Before departure, enjoy soulful Moken music filled with stories and traditions passed down through generations. After a Thai-style lunch at the park headquarters, pack your belongings and board the speedboat back to Kuraburi Pier. Continue by road to Khao Lak, ending your two-day cultural immersion with the Moken people.

*The day of the Moken music performance is determined by the local guide and may vary.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
