Arrive in Surat Thani and meet your private driver for a one-hour transfer to Khanom. Settle into your accommodation and take the rest of the day to relax or explore the area at your own pace.
Start the day in Baan Laem Village, engaging with locals who turn fishing nets into clothing and natural mud into beauty products. Create your own tie-dye shirt before boarding a boat to a mud-rich area for a refreshing mud bath or swim. Contribute to mangrove conservation by planting trees, then enjoy a seafood-focused lunch made with organic, locally sourced ingredients.
In the afternoon, visit Wat Phaisan Sathit, shaded by centuries-old Bodhi and Banyan trees. Continue to Mae Thong Pring coconut plantation to taste fresh coconut sugar and make traditional Thai caramel. Shape your own pottery at a village workshop while sipping honey-lemon tea from a clay cup. End the day at the Nakhon Si Thammarat Cocoa Bean Learning Center, where you’ll follow the bean-to-bar chocolate-making process and sample fresh chocolate.
Begin with breakfast at Aalto Restaurant before departing for Nakhon Si Thammarat. Visit Wat Phra Mahathat, southern Thailand’s most revered temple, and browse for local silverware and handicrafts. Discover Cheow Lan Lake, the jewel of Khao Sok National Park, where emerald-green waters stretch between dramatic limestone cliffs and dense jungle. Board a boat to a traditional raft house, the park’s iconic floating bungalows, where you can swim in the cool, clear water or paddle a kayak to hidden inlets.
For those wanting to explore further, trek along scenic jungle trails to reach waterfalls deep in the forest or venture into mysterious caves that reveal the region’s raw beauty. Throughout the day, immerse yourself in the lake’s tranquil atmosphere and lush surroundings before enjoying lunch on the water. Day 7: Koh Surin Island

Travel from Khao Sok to Kuraburi Pier on a private 2.5-hour transfer, then board a speedboat to Surin Island. On arrival, settle into your tent at the National Park and relax on the island’s pristine beach before enjoying lunch at the park restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit a Moken village with a local guide and learn about the community’s deep connection to the sea and forest. Discover the meaning of the “Spirit Poles” and see the stilted homes along the shore. Take part in a handicraft workshop where you will weave a bracelet from forest Pandanus leaves. Continue with a forest hike, identifying medicinal herbs, edible plants, and traditional building materials used in Moken houseboats and homes.
End the day with a snorkeling trip among coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life, while learning about the Moken’s remarkable free-diving and swimming skills. Return to the park headquarters at sunset, keeping watch for flying lemurs and macaques, and spend the night in a beachside tent.

Day 8: Moken Cultural Experience | Transfer to Khao Lak
Begin the day with a deeper look into Moken culture. Try rowing a traditional Moken boat and practice their unique spear-fishing techniques, guided by local experts. Spend more time exploring the village or set out for a final snorkeling session in the island’s crystal-clear waters.
Before departure, enjoy soulful Moken music filled with stories and traditions passed down through generations. After a Thai-style lunch at the park headquarters, pack your belongings and board the speedboat back to Kuraburi Pier. Continue by road to Khao Lak, ending your two-day cultural immersion with the Moken people.

After breakfast, enjoy the morning at leisure to relax at your hotel, explore Khao Lak’s beaches, or discover the local area at your own pace.
Optional Tour – Traditional Fishing and Mangrove Exploration
Travel to a local fishing village in a traditional songteaw taxi. Board a long-tail boat and glide through peaceful mangrove rivers surrounded by lush scenery. Try your hand at fishing with local gear, then enjoy a Thai-style lunch. In the afternoon, join the crew in searching for crabs or shellfish and learn about techniques that change with the tides. Return to the pier and transfer back to your hotel. Many local restaurants can prepare a meal from your catch for an authentic, fresh-from-the-water dining experience.

Day 11: Return Home

Meet your driver for a private transfer from Khao Lak to Phuket Airport, a journey of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Check-in is required at least three hours before international flights and one hour before domestic departures.
