Day 2 Into the Heart of Denali

  • Hotel
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Dinner
Today take the adventure train to the Park Entrance where you board a park bus for the 90-plus mile journey into the heart of Denali National Park. The full day narrated bus experience offers a natural history interpretation along the way by a trained naturalist guide and driver. Keep watch for bear, moose, caribou and other wildlife as you venture deeper into the wilderness. The 7.5-hour bus ride includes photo opportunities and takes several rest stops to stretch your legs. Complimentary beverages and snacks for purchase are available on board. Upon arrival, enjoy a hearty dinner and check in to Denali Backcountry lodge.

Day 3-4 Denali Backcountry Adventures

  • Hotel
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
These days are free for you to explore all that this remote location has to offer. Enjoy morning yoga or take a shuttle to nearby Wonder Lake for fishing or hiking. Mountain bikes are also available for guests to use as they explore the area, or set out on one of the offered guide naturalist hikes. Spa treatments and flightseeing tours are also offered for an additional fee. The day is yours to explore Denali National Park!

Day 5 Train to Anchorage

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Join the return bus back to the Park Entrance this morning. As an alternative, we can arrange a flight seeing trip back to the park entrance instead of the bus for additional cost.

From the park entrance, catch the Gold Star Train back to Anchorage. On this route, sparkling salmon streams and stands of birch and spruce come into view, while carpets of fireweed add dramatic purple to the landscape. Enjoy luxury rail service with upper level dome seating as well as lunch and dinner enroute. Overnight Anchorage.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
