In Antarctica, I spent 13 days skiing in heavy snowbanks, kayaking with different types of whales and hiking my way through the mountains and waterways. I got to cross off sightings of certain types of penguins and sea birds off my list. Yes, I did get injured, but nothing held me back from having the trip of a lifetime!
Flying over Mount St. Helends in Washington (Kassandra Magruder)Today starts off with an early morning departure from Missoula, Montana. I bounce around from Missoula to Seattle to Los Angeles to Mexico City and finally arrive in Buenos Aires late at night. I can barely keep my eyes open as I grab a taxi to my hotel downtown. All I remember is my head hitting the pillow as I get ready for my next adventure: the last place on earth, Antarctica! I've been awaiting this trip with baited breath - a ski mountaineering adventure with penguins and whales. Who could ask for anything better?
