Day 1: Fly Fishing in Patagonia

  • Hotel
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Head out from EcoCamp by 4x4 to the source of Serrano River where your fly fishing adventure is about to begin! After arrival, your guides instruct you in the contemplative, yet skillful art of fishing. Throughout the day the guides provide instruction and practical tips specific to you and for the fish you are after, the majestic Chinook Salmon. This princely fish’s numbers soar from December to February – but remember: it’s no small fry! Get ready to work hard to claim yours, as here in the National Park they can reach up to 60lbs! After seven to eight hours’ fishing on Serrano River, return to EcoCamp ready to settle in for the night with dinner and sharing fishing stories.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
