Highlights
Tour Valparaiso and visit its most important historical sites
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Today, you'll depart early in the morning and head Cerro Florida to start the day. Once there, you'll climb up Cerro Florida and arrive at Pablo Neruda’s house, "La Sebastiana." This house, just like his other home in Santiago, contains interesting artifacts and furniture in their original state. The house boasts a breathtaking view of the Pacific as it overlooks the bay. After exploring the museum, you wander around Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre to witness Valparaíso's unique architecture, including the steep and winding streets lined with colorful small houses, cafes, stores, and restaurants. The hills provide an excellent vantage point to admire the port and appreciate the city's diverse street art. You then use one of the iconic funicular elevators to descend the hill and walk to the main square, "Sotomayor," where you see the monument honoring the heroes of the Pacific War and the National Navy headquarters, located in the historic port neighborhood. Travelers conclude the day back at the hotel.
Following this part of the tour, you proceed to the neighboring coastal city of Viña del Mar, which has a trendy beach atmosphere. You stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant before admiring the famous "flower clock" and visiting the city's main square with the amphitheater that hosts the renowned Viña del Mar International Song Festival every summer.
Note: This is a private tour. Neruda Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
Adventure Life planned a stunner of a trip for our family ONCE AGAIN! This is our 7th trip with Adventure Life. We chose the Chile North to South adventure with add-ons of Magdalena Island to see the penguins; Las Torres hotel in Patagonia; Calafate, Argentina to see the Perito Moreno glacier and finally, Buenos Aires. We were active every day! Biking in vineyards, trekking at 14,000 ft above sea level and seeing vicuña and vizcacha everywhere after having almost the entire El Tatio geyser park to ourselves, an evening tour viewing the stars and galaxies in the Atacama Desert, River Rafting and hiking between volcanoes and glacial lakes in the mountain lake region of Peurto Varas, hiking the French Valley, Las Torres and riding horses in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, walking on the glacier and drinking glacial water and hearing those thunderous booms of ice calving at Perito Moreno in Calafate, Argentina and biking 30 miles through Buenos Aires to the suburbs where we kayaked the Tigre River Delta. So much fun!! I even wore my adult children out!!

We were referred by a satisfied client and the booking of the trip was everything we wanted to do, and they listened to the types of hotels, sightseeing, etc. we wanted to do.

Rapa Nui was on my bucket list for a long time so I worried that it would not meet my expectations. Our tour could not have been better. Our guide was knowledgeable and professional with an understanding of the island that made it come alive. I would and have recommended this trip to everyone that will listen.

I have worked with her for multiple family trips for over 10 years, and she is responsive, works within your preferences and budget, has great suggestions and has personal travel experience at many of the locations. We prefer active family vacations and Adventure Life and Mary Curry make sure that is what we get!
