Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
You are picked up from your hotel in Santiago around 8:00 am to start your journey to the stunning Colchagua Wine Valley, home to some of Chile’s most renowned wineries. Your first stop is VIK winery, where you embark on a horseback riding excursion through the vineyards.
Next, you enjoy a delicious lunch paired with VIK’s own wines while taking in the breathtaking views of the vineyard and Millahue Valley. Your meal, crafted by renowned Chilean chef Rodrigo Acuña Bravo, is designed to highlight local ingredients and complement VIK’s wines.
After lunch, you take advantage of VIK’s additional services before boarding an SUV for a guided tour of the vineyard and winery. Your guides explain how precision viticulture shapes both the grape-growing process and winemaking. You then sample VIK’s vintage along with three barrel varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, and Syrah.
To end the day, you return to your hotel for dinner and a well-deserved rest.
Day 2: Hiking at Neyen Winery | Visit Lapostolle Winery
Today, you begin with a visit to the beautiful Neyén Winery. These vineyards require minimal intervention because the granitic, volcanic soils from the mountains and the river’s clay loam soils provide natural drainage. All wine here is produced using organic practices. You start with a two-hour morning hike through the vineyard, where you take in stunning landscapes, diverse flora, and local wildlife. After the walk, you visit the barrels and enjoy a wine tasting before sitting down for a delicious country-style lunch paired with wine.
After lunch, you drive to Lapostolle Winery for a stroll through the vineyards and a visit to the barrels. Here, you learn about the unique gravitational winemaking process behind the famous Clos Apalta wine before beginning your tasting experience.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
