Day 1: El Morado Trek

1 Lunch

This morning we pick you up and transfer across the Maipo Valley towards the Andes Mountains. Pass by the countryside to the El Morado Reserve nestled at the foot of a mountain cirque and dramatic rock formations. Hike through the rocky slopes dotted with wildflowers. Keep your eyes peeled for condors overhead! Enjoy about 3 hours of moderate trekking before arriving to the summit. Enjoy a box lunch at the top with spectacular views of a glacier and lake! Descend down and ride back to Santiago, arriving in the evening.

This is a full day guided tour. Excludes insurance, which is mandatory that you purchase appropriate insurance coverage for this tour.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

We have been using Adventure Life for over 20 years. I guess that about says it all. This most recent trip to central and southern patagonia was spectacular. What beautiful, vast, varied landscape. We saw it from kayaks, white water rafting, boats, hiking trails and on horseback. Lodges and guides were top notch.
