Puerto Caldera serves as the main entry point to Costa Rica's Pacific Coast. Among the various excursions available, a visit to Arenal Volcano is highly recommended.
The bustling town of Quepos is the gateway to Manuel Antonio National Park. Despite the surge in ecotourism, Quepos has maintained its authentic charm. It offers a vibrant restaurant scene, easy-to-navigate streets, and friendly locals.
Golfito is Costa Rica's most southern port town. It was built on bananas – the United Fruit Company moved its regional headquarters here in the '30s and remained until its departure in the 1980s. Today it acts as a gateway to visitors who wish to surf at Pavones or take part in sport-fishing. There are plenty of other activities on offer including horseback riding, kayaking, and trips to nearby mangrove forests.
Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalizing spa (Royal Clipper only), and a peaceful library.
Playa Nacascolo is located on Costa Rica's Pacific coast on the east side of the Papagayo Peninsula. The golden sandy beach is surrounded by headlands covered in vegetation that stays lush for most of the year, allowing you to spot coatis and monkeys. It has been described as one of Costa Rica's prettiest beaches, and since it's protected by the Bahia Culebra headlands, the water is usually calm for swimming.
This area consists of the three seaside villages of Flamingo, Surf Side, and Potrero. It has an ideal beach with calm waters for a relaxing swim or a long stroll along this exquisite Pacific coastline.
Isla Tortuga is widely regarded as the most beautiful island in Costa Rica. With giant coconut palms framing powder-soft white sand beaches that are lapped by crystal-clear turquoise waters, this is a tropical paradise. You can also play beach volleyball, rent a kayak, swim, or even get a ride on a glass-bottom boat. However, if you are feeling adventurous you can ride the zip line as part of a canopy tour.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
