Day 1: Birdwatching in Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is the perfect place to view many of Costa Rica's famed bird species. During your morning birding tour, your guide will help you spot up to 350 species of birds that live in the Reserve. While hiking through the pristine cloud forest, you have a chance to see unique birds such as Resplendent Quetzals, toucans, wood creepers, flycatchers, orioles, and grosbeaks. With any luck you may see the three-wattled bellbird. A great tour for those travelers interested in learning more about the birds that call Costa Rica home.

Trip to Costa Rica was excellently planned and supported. They selected great hotels, and the drivers and transitions between locations went smoothly.
