Today's tour includes a visit to the Trapiche Coffee Farms, a local family owned farm that originated in 1948. The two hour tour includes a walk through the farm where visitors get a chance to see plantations of bananas, plantains, arracache, macadamia, oranges, sugar cane and of course, coffee. Along the tour, your guide will explain all that is involved with the sugarcane cultivation and the history of the farm. During this portion of the tour, you have an chance to taste the sugar cane and its derivatives. Continuing on, you will next learn about the coffee making process, from the planting and cultivating to the peeling and crushing of the fruit and finally the coffee roasting process. The tour concludes with sample coffee and sugar tastings and a chance to make your own candy. This tour is great for families and coffee aficionados alike.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

What made our Costa Rica experience great was the wonderful places we stayed and transportation to get to our different areas to visit was excellent! The white water rafting and the snorkeling & dolphin watching were really fun!
