Highlights
Explore Split, a medieval town contained within palace walls
Learn more about Hvar's history, its culture, and way of life on this island
Admire Korcula with the company of your private group of up to 36 guests!
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
The brand new M/S Mama Marija is docked in the Split harbor where you start your private adventure! The welcome meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. Your cruise director introduces you to the Captain, your crew, and of course your future fellow passengers.
Start the day with a Split City tour, walking with your English-speaking guide through historical Diocletian’s Palace. Split is the second largest urban center in Croatia and the seat of Split and Dalmatia County. It is traditionally considered to be over 1,700 years old. Since 1979 the historic center of Split has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. The historical and cultural buildings are located inside the walls of the Diocletian’s Palace. At 12:00 start your cruise to Trogir, a small town that is on UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. In the afternoon arrive to this small town-museum, with its stone-houses, palaces, churches, monasteries, towers, walls and especially the main attraction in Trogir – the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, probably the finest example of sacral architecture in Croatia.
Start your day with a morning departure towards Bol, said to have the best beach for swimming in Croatia named Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape). Stop in Bol and enjoy this nice Dalmatian town on foot, or have a cup of coffee and take a swim until lunch is served on board. After lunch continue cruising towards the sunniest island of Croatia – the island of Hvar. Hvar is one of the most popular, very attractive tourist destinations and a meeting point for the international jet set.
Upon your afternoon arrival at Hvar, a local English-speaking guide walks you throughout the town introducing you to the history, culture, and way of life on this island and explains how lavender was traditionally farmed for centuries. Have an evening in Hvar free on your own to explore and dine in one of numerous family-owned restaurants.
Cruise to the Island of Biševo and its Blue Cave, one of the most famous natural attractions in the whole of the Adriatic Sea. Blue Cave is a water-logged cave that can be approached only by boat. The sunbeams penetrating through a submarine opening in Blue Cave get reflected from its white bottom floor, creating a stunningly magical effect of deep aquamarine and shiny silver light. However, at times high waves prevent the entrance to Blue Cave, which is something you shall not know before the morning designated for your visit. In case you can't enter Blue Cave due to such sea conditions, get a full ticket refund. On the other hand, if you succeed in visiting Blue Cave, you shall cruise to the Island of Vis after lunch. Being an important strategic military stronghold for a long time, Vis was spared the excessive tourist development and thus retained its unspoiled beaches, ecological agriculture, and traditional architecture. Overnight in Vis
Start your day with a morning departure towards the island of Korčula. Stop for a swim before lunch and in the afternoon arrive to Korčula town, on Korčula Island. Korčula is a city known as the birthplace of Marko Polo, the famous explorer. A professional guide walks you through narrow and cobbled streets. The rest of the evening is free to enjoy dining at one of the local restaurants of your choice.
Day 6: Mljet National Park | Šipan Island OR Slano
This morning cruise towards Mljet National Park. You have just enough time to explore the park, to walk around the Great and Small Lake and Islet of St. Mary with its Benedictine Monastery from the 12th century, and, of course, to take a swim in the heart of the National Park. Entrance fees to National Park Mljet are included. Return to the boat for lunch.
Continue your cruise to Šipan Island where the ship anchors in the small picturesque fishermen’s village of Šipanska Luka. In case dock and lock schedules or weather conditions prevent you from anchoring in Šipanska Luka, cruise to Slano, located on the mainland. Enjoy a Captain’s dinner that evening on board with live music entertainment.
Morning departure to Dubrovnik, passing by the Elaphiti islands. Cruise along Dubrovnik's City Walls and fortifications and have lunch on board directly in front of the historical center where you have the chance to take unforgettable group photo of breathtaking Dubrovnik. After a city tour you are left on your own to explore the city, visit the City Walls, or take the cable car to the top of the Mount Srđ and have intimate farewell dinner. Your return scheduled transfer to the boat is organized by tender ships or by coach. See why this city is called the Pearl of the Adriatic.

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
