History of Su Merced
Su Merced is located in an old historic farmhouse whose historical records dating from 1784 but, for its architectural features, was allegedly built early seventeenth century. The Casa de Hacienda it has been carefully restored and has all the necessary services to offer a unique experience to guests during their stay. However, it offers more than just accommodation, it breathes an essence reflected in art and architecture.
The construction of the Casa de Hacienda speaks in itself of the cultural and artistic heritage by the colonial design that governs it. Guests will enjoy the unique interconnection between rooms, stone floors and structure wooden roof, all testament to the lifestyle of the time. In each room guests will find details of the origins and rich history of this ranch house, carefully preserved with minor adjustments to ensure the best possible stay for the modern Ecuador traveler.
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
