Day 1: Tulcea, Romania | Embark

Board MS Gérard Schmitter and settle into your designated cabins. A welcome cocktail awaits to start the cruise. Enjoy the dinner and an evening of entertainment on board. 

Day 2: Sulina | Crisan

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Cruise towards Sulina located at the mouth of Danube all the way to Crisan. Join one of the excursions proposed:

Classic: Tour the Danube Delta with its rich fauna and flora.
Discovery: Tour the Danube Delta on a speed boat, a thrilling and original discovery. 

Spend the afternoon cruising towards Oltenita. 

Day 3: Oltenita

Join a full-day excursion in Bucharest, the Romanian capital. This city is an incredible mix of styles with its Orthodox churches, manor houses in Second Empire style, clumsy-looking Stalinist architecture of the Communist period and the Palace of the Parliament 

Return on board in Ruse. 

Day 4: Ruse

Join a full day excursion to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi, including lunch at a restaurant. afterward, return on board in Ruse and enjoy your dinner and the traditional folk entertainment in the evening. 

Day 5: Ruse

Join the excursion and tour Ruse and the Basarbovski Monastery. Ruse is a very attractive town thanks to the wide avenues, large squares and wonderful buildings which pay tribute to the national Renaissance architecture. Spend the afternoon cruising towards Danube. 

Day 6: The Iron Gates

Spend an entire day cruising on Danube. The ship will pass through the Iron Gates, the gorge on the Danube that forms part of the boundary between Serbia and Romania. It was called "The Cauldrons” by ancient sailors, since the water, held tightly between two steep cliffs, seemed to be boiling.

Day 7: Belgrade | Novi Sad

Join the excursions proposed: 

Classic: Guided tour of Belgrade whose rich cultural heritage will surprise you.
Discovery: Discover Belgrade by bike and cycle along the history-filled streets with your guide while explaining the city's recent past from World War II to current times.

In the afternoon, discover the multi-ethnic city of Novi Sad, the industrial and financial center of the Serbian economy and a major cultural center, and the Krusedol Monastery.

Return on board in Novi Sad and cruise onwards to Osijek. 

Day 8: Osijek | Mohacs

Join the excursions proposed:

Classic: Guided tour of Osijek. 
Discovery: Discover Osijek by bike. The old part of the town, Tvrda, was built at the beginning of the 18th century and is a dream to cycle through. It is the best-preserved, largest ensemble of Baroque buildings in Croatia.

Spend the afternoon cruising towards Mohacs and through customs before sailing on to Budapest. Tonight is the gala dinner and evening. The ship will continue cruising through the night. 

Day 9: Budapest

Arrive in Budapest this morning. Enjoy time and lunch on your own today. Feel free to visit the city at your own pace. Tonight, join the traditional evening in Budapest.

Day 10: Budapest

Join the excursions proposed: 

Classic: Sightseeing tour of Budapest, once two distinct cities that united only in 1873.
Discovery:  Bike tour of Budapest. See all the important sights of the city on an easy-paced ride, cycling through the historical center of Hungarian culture and many other of the legendary sites in Budapest.

This afternoon, cruise towards Bratislava.

Day 11: Bratislava | Vienna

Arrive in Bratislava in the morning. Join the excurions proposed: 

Classic: Guided tour of Bratislava. The charm of the Slovakian capital lies in its old city: splendid Baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares.
Discovery: Hiking in Bratislava: The Little Carpathians. From Devin Castle, take in the splendid view of Bratislava.

Spend this afternoon cruising, reaching Vienna at the end of the day. Enjoy a free evening or explore Vienna by night. 

Day 12: Vienna

Today, visit Schönbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the imperial family, and tour of part of Vienna. This afternoon, tour the Hofburg Palace, an imperial march through history, art and luxury. After dinner, join an optional excursion: Concert Viennese music (subject to availability)

Begin to cruise during the night. 

Day 13: Melk

Cruise along the most beautiful section of the Wachau Valley before arriving in Melk in the early morning. Visit Dürnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner.

In the afternoon, visit Melk Abbey that was originally a Baroque-style palace built between 1702 and 1736. Today, it is known as Benedictine monastery that hosts a prestigious coed school with more than 900 students.

Begin to cruise towards Passau in the middle of the afternoon. Tonight is the gala dinner and evening. 

Day 14: Passau | Disembark

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m.
