This morning, the ship cruises along the most beautiful section of the Wachau Valley all the way to Melk. Then set off andvisit the Dürnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held, prisoner. Return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, join anexcursion and Visit the Melk Abbey. Originally a Baroque-style palace built between 1702 and 1736, it is now a Benedictine monastery that hosts a prestigious coed school with more than 900 students. Then return on board and leave for Passau. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.
After breakfast,explore Passau in the company of the hostess, strolling the narrow romantic streets and admiring is Baroque-style buildings. Then cruise to Regensburg.

Day 8: Hilpoltstein | Nuremberg | Bamberg, Germany
Arrive in Nuremberg in the morning. Join an excursion for a guided tour to the city and taste its famous gingerbread. Nuremberg is Bavaria's second-largest city and an energetic place where the nightlife is intense and the beer is as dark as coffee. During the tour to the city, the ship sails to Erlangen. And then cruise to Bamberg. The ship continues to sail through the night.
Spend this morning cruising to Schweinfurt. Then set off on an excursion a guided tour on Rothenburg, a magnificent walled town set up high on the hills over the river with narrow streets lined with picturesque half-timbered houses and workshops. It is one of the most beautiful towns on the historic Romantic Road. During the tour, the ship sails to Kitzingen. Enjoy your dinner on board and continue to cruise through the night.
Join anexcursion for a guided tour on Würzburg and the Residenz, former residence of the prince-bishops. Ths city is nestled in a beautiful, hilly location on the river and possesses a wealth of history. The ship continues on to Karlstadt and reaches it at the end of the morning. Then start cruising to Wertheim.
Day 11: Wertheim | Miltenberg | Aschaffenburg, Germany
Explore Miltenbergin the company of a hostess and discover this charming, very typical German village. After that, continue the cruise to Aschaffenburg.

After passing through two impressive locks on the Rhine - Iffezheim, and Gambsheim - the ship arrives in Strasbourg in the afternoon. At this time, enjoy your free time in the city. Day 16: Düsseldorf, Germany | Amsterdam, Netherlands
The ship continues to sail the whole day then pass the border in Emmerich and sail towards Utrecht and Amsterdam. Join an excursion for a canal boat tour on Amsterdam by night.
Classic:Guided tour of Amsterdam and visit to a diamond merchant. Discovery: Bike tour of Amsterdam. You'll be able to explore and learn about all the must-see and out-of-the-way sites.
This afternoon, join an excursion to Volendam and Zaanse Schans.

Today, the ship cruises to Papenburg. Join an excursion for a tour on the Meyer Werft shipyard. Afterward, you have to return on board in Doerpen and start cruising to Oldenburg, reaching it during the night.

Early this morning, the ship departs for Hanover. Join anexcursion for a tour of the city. The capital city of Lower Saxony is one of the main economic centers in Germany. Return on board in Anderten and continue cruising towards Braunschweig. Enjoy the gala dinner and evening.
Day 25: Braunschweig | Bülstringen | Magdeburg, Germany

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
