Your journey begins at 16:00 with departure from Lavrion Port, the closest port to Athens International Airport and a site steeped in rich history. Following a short safety briefing and time to get settled, the ship sails north into the Evian Gulf. Enjoy dinner onboard under the stars as you cruise toward Northern Evia overnight. Later, pass beneath the historic Bridge of Khalkis, built in 1896 and still one of the world’s oldest movable bridges. Its innovative sliding mechanism allows vessels to cross the narrow strait, where the tidal currents uniquely reverse several times a day—a rare and captivating natural phenomenon.
Arrive in Edipsos, one of Greece’s most celebrated spa towns, renowned since antiquity for its therapeutic thermal springs. The early morning offers the perfect opportunity for a soothing dip in the naturally bubbling, mineral-rich waters along the shore. You may also stroll the tranquil seafront promenade, visit the historic Thermae Sylla Spa, or relax with a coffee by the sea.
Lunch is served al fresco as you sail toward Oreoi, a charming fishing village on the northern tip of Evia, reaching its small harbor by early evening. Explore the village at leisure, view the impressive ancient marble bull on display, and enjoy fresh seafood at a local taverna. Overnight in Oreoi, surrounded by calm and picturesque scenery.
Set off early in the morning and cross the Pagasetic Gulf, arriving at the bustling port city of Volos. Volos is a lively city with a rich mythological past; it is said to be the home of Jason and the Argonauts. Not to be missed, your optional excursion takes you to the unique and breathtaking Meteora monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage site dramatically perched on towering rock formations. If you prefer to stay in Volos, spend the day exploring its vibrant waterfront promenade, visiting the Archaeological Museum, and, if available, seeing the reconstructed Argo ship moored near the harbor. Enjoy a leisurely dinner at one of Volos’ famous ’tsipouradika’, traditional tavernas where meze dishes are paired with local tsipouro. Spend the night at the port, with the vibrant city lights reflecting on the calm water.
At dawn, depart from Volos and sail toward the Sporades islands. Early morning arrival at a beautiful cove in Skiathos island, known for its golden sand beaches and lush landscape. The day can be spent swimming, kayaking, or relaxing at the beach until the afternoon. Lunch is served onboard. Early afternoon, continue to Skiathos town port, where you arrive in time for you to enjoy a leisurely walk through the lively streets, shop for local crafts, or sip cocktails at the Bourtzi peninsula cafe overlooking the harbor. Skiathos is famous for its nightlife, so the evening is perfect for those who wish to experience its restaurants, bars, and music venues before returning on board for the night.
You leave Skiathos early in the morning, enjoying breakfast on deck as the ship glides toward Skopelos, the picturesque island where Mamma Mia! was filmed. Enjoy a refreshing swim, stop, and lunch at Stafilos Beach, a lovely stretch of sand framed by cliffs and pine trees. Later, continue to Skopelos Port, where the whitewashed houses, cobblestone alleys, and numerous chapels create a postcard-perfect setting, a backdrop straight out of the movie Mamma Mia! If you are a fan of the film, join an optional "Mamma Mia! Tour", taking you to some of the movie's most iconic filming locations. Highlights include Agios Ioannis Kastri, the dramatic "Mamma Mia church" where the wedding scene was filmed, and Kastani Beach, the backdrop for several lively dance numbers. The tour also passes through charming villages and scenic viewpoints that capture the island's magic. After exploring Skopelos Town, enjoy dinner at a traditional taverna and try the island's signature Skopelos cheese pie, before returning to the ship, which remains docked in Skopelos for the night.
The day begins with an early departure from Skopelos, heading toward the uninhabited island of Peristera near Alonissos. This area forms part of the Alonissos Marine Park, a protected zone known for its crystal-clear waters and rich marine life, including the rare Mediterranean monk seal. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and a delicious al fresco lunch here until early afternoon, before continuing your journey to Skyros. Arriving in Linaria Port in the late afternoon, you have time to wander through Skyros’ unique Chora, a blend of Cycladic architecture and Venetian influences, with narrow streets and hidden squares. Dinner ashore offers a chance to sample the island’s famous lobster pasta or Skyrian goat cheese. You stay overnight in Linaria, enjoying the serene harbor atmosphere.
Before dawn, you depart Skyros for Andros Island, arriving at the charming seaside town of Batsi. Enjoy a morning swim in its sandy bay or a coffee at one of the cafes along the waterfront. After lunch, continue south toward Kea (Tzia), reaching its harbor by early evening, where you can take some time to wander along the picturesque harbor, admire the colorful fishing boats, stroll through the narrow streets lined with shops and cafes, and soak in the relaxed island atmosphere before returning to the ship for a farewell dinner onboard. Celebrate the journey, share memories with fellow travelers, and enjoy the last night at sea as the cruise comes to a close.
