The estate is family-owned and was originally purchased by Moses and Rosa Blanca Rivera in 1926. Each of Hotel Atitlan's 60 rooms has a private balcony, breathtaking views, and unique decor designed intentionally by members of the family.
-Rooms feature hand-crafted furnishings and traditional art from surrounding indigenous villages
-Swimming pool and jacuzzi overlooking the lake and hotel gardens
-Authentic Guatemalan gift shop
Hotel Atitlan's restaurant is steeped in ambiance and features regional and international cuisine made with local, organically grown produce. An adjacent bar offers guests a home-like retreat and a great way to unwind from your Guatemala travels.
Each of Hotel Atitlan's spectacular gardens has been designed with its own distinct identity. The gardens extend to the banks of Lake Atitlan, providing a tropical oasis with lush native flora and over 250 species of birds.
This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
