Visit the capital of Guatemala, Guatemala City, well known for its rich Mayan history, many hikes and high altitude locations, and volcanoes. The Metropolitan Cathedral in the Plaza Meyor (Parque Central) is full of religious artifacts and colonial paintings and is a musts-see historical destination.
