Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Arrive in Jakarta and proceed through immigration. Meet your airport assistant to collect your luggage, then join your private guide for a transfer to your hotel in Jakarta. Check in and spend the evening resting at the hotel to prepare for the wildlife adventure ahead.
Transfer to the Jakarta Airport after breakfast for the flight to Pangkalan Bun. Meet your local guide upon arrival and drive 20 minutes to Kumai to board your houseboat. Enjoy lunch on board while cruising from the Kumai River to the Sekonyer River, the main waterway of Tanjung Puting National Park.
Pass by Nipa palms and Pandanus trees while watching for macaques, proboscis monkeys, and wild orangutans in the vegetation. Visit the Tanjung Harapan feeding station this afternoon if time permits. Enjoy dinner and spend the night on board the Super Deluxe Houseboat.
Day 3: Boat Trip Orang Utan | Wildlife Spotting - Camp Leakey
Cruise the tea-colored waterways of the park after breakfast, observing the perfect reflections of the vegetation on the surface. Watch for freshwater crocodiles and proboscis monkeys along the riverbanks as you navigate upstream. Visit Camp Leakey after lunch to explore the research center where older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest.
Set off on an easy trek from the center to spot birds, noisy gibbons, deer, and wild boar among the jungle plants. Return to the boat for dinner and drift to a quiet mooring for the night.
Day 4: Boat Trip Orang Utan | Pondok Tangguy | Tanjung Harapan
Eat an early breakfast as the klotok cruises slowly downstream, moving from the black water canals into the muddy Sekonyer River. Scan the forested banks for wildlife before arriving at Pondok Tangguy, a rehabilitation center for ex-captive orangutans, to watch the 9:00 AM feeding.
Return to the boat and drift further downstream to reach the Tanjung Harapan center. Witness the 3:00 PM feeding session and hike deeper into the forest to observe the surroundings before returning to the boat.
Day 5: Boat Trip Orang Utan | Pondok Tangguy - Trekking
Early this morning, cruise upstream to reach Pondok Tangguy. Disembark for a full-day trek accompanied by a ranger, navigating through the secondary forest while keeping a lookout for local wildlife. Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the trees before finishing the hike. Return to the houseboat for dinner and settle into a quiet location on the river for the night.
Day 6: Kumai | Fly back to Jakarta

After breakfast onboard, boat down to Kumai and transfer directly to Pangkalan Bun Airport for the flight back to Jakarta. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Settle in for a relaxing evening or head out to explore the city on your own.
Day 7: Flight to Labuan Bajo | Boat Trip Komodo Rinca

Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo Airport from Jakarta, meet your driver for the short transfer to the harbor. Your private yacht departs for Kelor Island, a 40-minute cruise, offering a chance to snorkel in the clear waters before lunch is served on board.
The boat then sails approximately 1.5 hours to Rinca Island, where a guide leads you on a trek to spot Komodo dragons, Timor deer, buffalo, and monkeys. As evening falls, the boat anchors at Kalong Island to witness thousands of fruit bats flying out of the mangroves. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Day 8: Boat Trip Komodo Rinca

The boat departs early this morning for the approximately two-hour cruise to Padar Island, with breakfast served on board. Upon arrival, a 1.5 to 2-hour trek leads to the island's highest point for panoramic views.
The yacht then sails one hour to Pink Beach, offering time to snorkel among the marine life or relax on the unique sands. Lunch is served during the one-hour crossing to Komodo Island, where a guided trek reveals Komodo dragons and other wild animals in their natural habitat. The boat anchors at Kalong Komodo Island this evening, providing a front-row seat to the sunset bat migration.
Day 9: Boat Trip Komodo Rinca

After breakfast, the boat heads to Manta Point, renowned as the best site to snorkel with manta rays. A 1.5-hour cruise follows to Gili Lawa Island, a tranquil, uninhabited spot in the northern part of the park. White sand beaches and expansive views over Komodo Island characterize this location, which is especially scenic at sunset. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Day 10: End of Boat Trip Komodo Rinca | Labuan Bajo

The final day on the boat begins early with a 5:00 AM start to trek Gili Lawa Darat for the sunrise. The one-hour hike leads to a scenic viewpoint before you return to the yacht for breakfast. The cruise concludes with a return to the harbor, where a driver meets you for the transfer to the Sudamala Komodo hotel in Labuan Bajo.
Day 11: Return Home

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
