Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo Airport, transfer to the Labuan Bajo harbor (approximately 20 minutes drive) for harbor clearance. Once cleared, you'll board your yacht for the next couple of days and head out for Kelor Island, taking approximately 40 minutes. On arrival on Kelor Island, dive in for some snorkeling and underwater views.
Enjoy lunch on the boat after your snorkeling excursion.
After lunch, move to Rinca Island which takes approximately 1.5 hours by yacht. On arrival on Rinca Island, go trekking and see some of the infamous Komodo dragons, as well as the other wild animals such as Timor deer, buffalo, monkey, snake, etc.
In the afternoon, the boat is anchored in Kalong Island for an overnight stay, and you can enjoy the sunset while the bats (Kalong) fly out from their nests in the mangroves.
Early this morning, move from Kalong Island to Padar Island while enjoying your breakfast with a view.
Padar Island offers spectacular views after trekking to the highest point of the island. This has become one of the favored spots in Komodo islands and trekking to the high point takes only 1-2 hours at your leisure.
After trekking, return to the yacht and move to the infamous pink beach. Here, you can go snorkeling at Pink Beach to see the amazing marine life and also relax on a pink sandy beach, perfect for photos!
Enjoy lunch on the boat while you move to Komodo Island; taking approximately 1 hour by boat. Komodo Island offers more fantastic trekking opportunities to spot wildlife and get up close to the Komodo Dragon.
After trekking, return to the boat and move to Kalong Komodo Island to stay overnight onboard the boat.
Today, after breakfast, head to Manta Point, the best site to see the manta rays. Here you can snorkel and have a chance to see the manta rays and other sea creatures in their natural habitat.
After a morning swim with Manta, head to Gili Lawa Island which takes about 1,5 hours. Gili Lawa is a beautiful small and relaxed uninhabited island, located in the Northern part of the Komodo National Park. It faces the wide and deep bay of Komodo Island and offers amazing views and white sand beaches, especially at sunset.
Tonight, enjoy dinner and a good night's sleep on the boat.
Day 4: End of Boat Trip Komodo-Rinca | Labuan Bajo
On the last day, it is recommended to trek in Gili Lawa Darat starting around 5 a.m. to catch an incredible sunrise over Komodo National Park. After your morning trek, return to the yacht for a fulfilling breakfast.
Afterward, transfer back to the harbor. Upon arrival at the harbor, your driver is waiting to bring you to your accommodations in Labuan Bajo for a good night's sleep.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
