Day 1: Athens | Embark

The Greek capital city is located on the edge of the Saronic gulf, in the east of the country. It bears a plural name in reference to the first villages that surround the Acropolis. You will be enchanted by the rocky plateau presided by its monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage. In the city below, you can visit some of the liveliest districts in Athens: Plaka, with its maze of colorful streets, and where, in the evenings the drifting aroma of moussaka and garlic prawns will tickle your taste buds. Don’t miss anything of the city’s cultural past. Pay a visit to the National Archaeological Museum, or the Cycladic Art Museum.

Day 2: Nafplion

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The engaging town of Nafplion is staggered up green hillsides of the Argolic Gulf, to the east of the Peloponnese. Don’t be surprised by its extremely varied cultural heritage. For instance, you’ll see the ancient agora on the plateau of Akronafplia, Italianate arcades in Syntagma square as well as the baroque fortress of Palamidi on a hillside of the same name. At the top of the hill, views of the gulf and the surrounding mountains are simply awesome. If you want to chill out by the water’s edge, walk along theArvanitia promenade to a beautiful creek in the shade of cedars and cypresses.

Day 3: Patmos

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Patmos is one of the legendary must-see islands in the Dodecanese. This is where Saint John resided, presumed author of the last book in the Bible. The cave of the Apocalypse and the Saint-John-the-Theologian Monastery are dedicated to him. These sites, which are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage, are located at the top of a hillside planted with vines and orchards. On the shore, the crystalline coves of Kambos and Lampi offer absolutely gorgeous swimming areas. You’ll be drawn to the bustle in Skala harbor and its taverns, famous for their fish soup and tiropita, which is a type of pasty filled with fresh Patmos cheese.

Day 4: Kusadasi

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The attractive seaside resort of Kusadasi is located in a gulf on the western coast of Turkey. You can bathe there in clear waters or stroll along the coastal walk, in the shade of palms. In the historical district, you can take a mosey down the narrow streets and explore the colorful shops in the bazaar. Close by, the Ephesus archaeological site in the hillsides provides an opportunity to discover the ruins of one of the most famous cities of Antiquity.

Day 5: Rhodes

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
With its particularly agreeable climate, the island of Rhodes invites you to walk its pathways and discover its immaculate villages and sumptuous medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage site. At the centre of the island the mountains are covered in forest and on the western slopes we find vineyards and crops. Rhodes also owes much of its charm and its character to the Knights of St John who reigned over the island from 1310 to 1522 and built impressive defensive walls punctuated with majestic gateways. Do not miss this delightful island with its peaceful beaches, its large walkways and its lively nightlife, perpetuating the myth of the famous Colossus, the legendary statue that is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Day 6-7: Crossing the Suez Canal

  • Ship
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
Without the waterway linking the Red Sea to the Mediterranean this part of the world would be an arid sandy desert inhabited by a few nomads.  The Suez Canal slices through 162 km of desert and was inaugurated in 1869 in the presence of Empress Eugenie, then nationalized by Nasser in 1956.

Day 8-9: Safaga

  • Ship
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
SNORKELLING IN THE RED SEA-This area of the Red Sea is known as one of the best snorkeling spots in the world.
Enjoy the opportunity to snorkel among colorful tropical fish and intricate coral formations.
From the pier, board your coach for a short drive to your motorboat, where you will embark and start your half-day snorkeling journey including two snorkeling spots.
After the security instructions and receiving your snorkel equipment, leave your boat and start your exploration to discover the marine life.

BEDOUIN CAMP SAFARI-This tour offers the opportunity to explore the Bedouin life and the beauty of the Egyptian desert. A true adventure straight out of Lawrence of Arabia! From the pier, board your motorcoach toward the city of Hurghada where you will board your 4 x 4 vehicle. Leave the paved road and drive to through the Arabian Desert toward Om Garia to have a close look on the real life of the Bedouins. During your drive, some photo stops will be suggested.
Arriving to the destination, Bedouins will be waiting for you and will let you explore their camp and learn about their culture and life. Most of the Bedouins’ ancestors came from the Arabian Peninsula, so Bedouin laws, customs and religion blend both Islamic and pagan beliefs. Even today, the wealth of a Bedouin is measured in camels and children, but Western technology is slowly making its presence felt. If you want, you can climb on the back of one of the camels for a memorable photo.

LUXOR MUSEUM & TEMPLES-You will visit the Luxor museum, which is remarkably entertaining with its displays of pottery and jewelry, including a carefully selected assortment of items from the Theban temples and necropolis.
Following your visit to the Luxor Museum, you will be transferred to your restaurant and enjoy a buffet dinner before departing for a visit of Karnak temple.

Day 10: Aqaba | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Located in the Red Sea within the eponymous gulf, Aqaba offers Jordan its only access to the sea. At the crossroads of the land and sea routes that linked Asia, Africa and Europe, the town is rich with more than 5,000 years of history. The warm waters of the Red Sea attract holidaymakers and divers to this seaside destination; the underwater sites home to coral and fishes are some of the most beautiful in the world. Aqaba is also the gateway to the magnificent desert of Wadi Rum and the marvellous site of Petra.
