Day 1: Lisbon, Portugal | Embark

Serving as Portugal's capital since its conquest from the Moors in 1147, Lisbon invites you to explore a legendary city boasting over 20 centuries of history. Spreading out along the right bank of the Tagus River, discover the downtown Baixa district, situated in the 18th-century area surrounding Rossio. Wander through the Alfama, one of Lisbon's oldest quarters, which still retains much of its original layout after largely surviving the 1755 earthquake.

Day 2: Portimao

As the largest city in the western Algarve, Portimao was traditionally a center for sardine fishing and processing. Today, it serves as a fantastic base to explore the rest of the region.

Consider taking popular day trips to Lagos and Silves. Discover Lagos, the historic center of Portugal's 14th-century age of exploration, and wander through Silves, the ancient capital of the Algarve, where fascinating attractions beautifully reflect a rich and extensive past.

Day 3: Cadiz, Spain

Cadiz, called the "cup of silver," is almost African in appearance; its streets are lined with palm trees, and its churches are topped with dome-like cupolas. Take advantage of optional tours to Seville, the irresistible capital and cultural center of Andalusia, with its colorful and festive lifestyle.

Day 4: Gibraltar, British Overseas Territory

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It's dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. The Cable Car is one of the ways to the Top of the Rock and a must-see attraction for all visitors to Gibraltar. The view is spectacular and you can watch the famous monkeys of Gibraltar. A lesser known wildlife attraction are the dolphins leaping in the sparkling waters of Gibraltar Bay, whole families of dolphins visit the bay and the chances of seeing them are good.

Day 5: Puerto Banus (Marbella), Spain

Located on the Costa del Sol of southeast Spain, discover Puerto Banus, a beautiful Mediterranean playground of whitewashed buildings and a marina filled with yachts. Developed in 1970, the marina has become adored by jet-setters around the globe for its beauty and simplicity. Famous for its prominent visitors, nightlife, and luxury boutiques, this "Jewel of the Costa del Sol" is very much the place to see and be seen.

Day 6: Malaga, Spain | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Malaga's fortress palace of the Alcazaba and the Castillo de Gibralfaro are splendid examples of Moorish architecture. But it is in Granada that you can see the most romantic and magnificent expression of the Arabesque style in the glorious Alhambra Palace.
