Day 1: Civitavecchia | Embark

Start your sailing in Civitavecchia, the important port that serves Rome, Italy’s capital city. The harbor handles Mediterranean cruise traffic as well as ferries crossing the Tyrrhenian Sea, so it opens the way to destinations across Italy and beyond. From here, Rome is 70 kilometers (43 miles) away, and Fiumicino Airport is 62 kilometers (39 miles) away.

Day 2: Portoferraio, Elba, Italy

Arrive in Portoferraio on the island of Elba, where Napoleon, the exiled Emperor of France, once lived. From his villa, he watched the ships waiting in the harbor and hoped to one day regain his former power. During your visit, join a tour of a local vineyard, and near Portoferraio, explore what remains of the ancient Etruscan civilization.

Day 3: L'Arinella Beach | Bastia, Corsica, France

L'Arinella beach in eastern Corsica is known for its golden sand and clear waters, making it a picturesque spot for relaxation. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, it offers activities like swimming and snorkeling. The tranquil atmosphere and stunning sunsets over the Tyrrhenian Sea make it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

The most important town in northern Corsica, with its narrow streets, colorful buildings and lively Mediterranean atmosphere, Bastia offers a unique blend of traditional charm and urban dynamism. Its harbor is the historic heart of the city, where traditional boats rub shoulders with numerous restaurants and cafés.

Day 4: Sant'Amanza Beach | Bonifacio, Corsica, France

Sant'Amanza is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island of Corsica. Located on its southernmost tip, it is surrounded by limestone cliffs, granite rocks and scrub, with sands lapped by crystal clear azure waters. It is a popular location for water sports including kite surfing.

Bonifacio, a magnificent town in the far south of Corsica, is renowned for its spectacular medieval architecture, impressive limestone cliffs and picturesque harbor. Nestling atop steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Bonifacio offers breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and neighboring islands.

Day 5: Alghero, Sardinia, Italy

Alghero is the main resort in the northwest of Sardinia and one of its most beautiful medieval cities. It's bustling historic center is packed with excellent bars and restaurants making it a great place to hang out. It is also ideally placed for exploring the beaches of nearby Riviera del Corallo. Interestingly, a form of medieval Catalan is still spoken even though the Iberians left three centuries ago.

Day 6: Calvi, Corsica, France

Napoleon once said that he could recognize his native island blindfolded thanks to the wonderful scent of the maquis. When you arrive in Corsica by sea, that's the first thing you notice. The second is the wild, mountainous landscape... and when you see a medieval citadel overlooking a marina tells you that you have arrived in Calvi.

Day 7: Monaco, Monaco

Monaco is the fabled domain of princes and movie stars. The magnificent Palais du Prince and opulent casinos remind you of an elegant, pre-war era. With more wealth concentrated in one small area than almost any place on earth, this tiny principality retains its gilt-edged allure.

Day 8: Nice, France | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Nice seduces with its enchanting mix of Mediterranean glamour and sun-drenched beaches. Stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais, explore the historic charm of Vieux Nice with its colorful alleyways and bustling markets, and savor delicious cuisine. With its mild year-round climate, Nice offers the perfect escape where French elegance meets natural beauty.

Disembark after breakfast and continue your independent trip back home.
