The luxury tents include en-suite bathrooms, shaded daybeds, and open star beds. Camp Sossus offers visits to Sossusvlei, nature drives, walking trails, and mountain biking. Optional hot air ballooning is available at extra cost.
The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or join a lodge-arranged activity.
Start your day early with a guided excursion to Namib Naukluft National Park. Depart the lodge at sunrise to explore the sand dunes. Your guide will explain the formation of the Namib Desert and how plants and animals have adapted to survive. Afterward, enjoy a picnic breakfast under a camel thorn tree.
On the way back to Camp Sossus, you can stop by Sesriem Canyon if it wasn’t visited the previous day. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or explore the Namib Tsaris Conservancy by mountain bike.
After breakfast at Camp Sossus, you are transferred to Geluk Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Swakopmund.
Upon arrival at Swakopmund Airport, a representative meets you and takes you to Strand Hotel Swakopmund, a popular hotel located on the Mole, offering a range of dining options, bars, and sea-facing terraces. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the town and surrounding areas.

Scenic flights over the Namib Desert and Atlantic Ocean, as well as tours to Sandwich Harbor, Spitzkoppe Mountain, and the Moon Landscape, are also available.
The afternoon is free to relax or explore Swakopmund city. You can also enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants in town at your own expense.
Today, join a Fat Bike Scenic Desert Tour, cycling through the oldest desert in the world. The tour is around 12–14 km (7.5 - 8.6 miles), starting from Swakopmund town center, going along the dry Swakop Riverbed, and up and down dunes of different sizes. Enjoy views of the desert, sea, and Swakopmund.
The tour is for those with above-average fitness and cycling experience. If you're less experienced or want something a bit more relaxed, you can choose an alternative city bike tour. Afterward, return to Strand Hotel Swakopmund to relax.
Check out from Strand Hotel Swakopmund and transfer to Swakopmund Airport for your scheduled flight into Damaraland. The area’s unique landscape features mountains, hills, and strange vegetation formed by wind, water, and geological forces.
After arriving at Doro Nawas airstrip, you are transferred to Onduli Ridge. Set among granite outcrops, the camp offers views of the Brandberg mountain and surrounding landscape. After settling in, you can join a shared activity such as a nature drive or walk.
Onduli Ridge is located in Damaraland, offering views of the rugged terrain. The six suites are designed for comfort and privacy, with open-air bathrooms and views. Activities include elephant tracking, rock art viewing, stargazing, and solar e-biking. Extended stays also offer the chance to search for black rhinos with Save the Rhino Trust.
Start your day with an early breakfast before a guided 4x4 excursion along the river valleys. This activity focuses on exploring the landscapes and searching for desert-adapted wildlife, including elephants. The morning offers the best chance to spot these animals as they are most active at this time. You can return to the camp for lunch or enjoy a picnic under the shade of an Ana tree by the riverbed while observing wildlife.
In the afternoon, visit nearby attractions like Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2,500 prehistoric engravings of animals and symbols. If time permits, take a guided walk or relax at the camp.
After breakfast, you are transferred to Doro Nawas airstrip for your scheduled flight to the outskirts of Etosha National Park. This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
Our agent Jessica was very helpful with the whole process and always responded in a timely way to all of our questions.

Cruse ship was great. Fantastic food and service. Cruise itinary got changed so not what we expected, but not an major issue. Japan portion was great. Drivers/guides arranged by 80 Days were great. Hotels were mostly ok. Did not know that most hotels outside of major cities do not allow shoes to be worn in the hotel. again a minor inconvenience. Overall a great trip. Adventure Life communications were timely and much appreciated as far as changes/requests.

We were a group of three that initiated our research by independently searching for the best agency to help us in the somewhat complex experience of traveling to the Galapagos. We chose adventure life because they were the most responsive in the website provided the most comprehensive overview of the trip. Their reviews were also very good.
Adventure, life splits up its booking process in two parts. First Jeff, the booking agent helped us decide which experience best suited are interests. We chose a small 14 to 16 group sized yacht. Once the booking was made with Jeff, we were handed off to Coleene, who oversaw the complex process of assembling all of the necessary documents and making sure we had everything we needed to make the trip go smoothly. The adventure, life website, then becomes your personal place of reference for all things related to your trip from door to door. It’s a lot of information to assemble, especially for three travelers, but the website makes it easy and Colleen‘s gentle reminders kept us on track. In all, from the beginning, we had four months from the time we started our research till the time we departed. We felt that was, a good amount of preparation time and don’t think it would be wise to do it in less than four months. Mostly because I think you have more options with that amount of time. There were others on our trip that took six months and more from the time they started planning.
The trip itself was outstanding. We ended up on an excellent yacht (Galapagos Angel II) with a great group of guests that we were able to connect with and put together a really nice google photos album to share.
