Local tour leaders/guides clearly understood that travel is as much (if not more) about the feeling that you experience as the things that you see and do. The people (guides) with whom I was in contact greatly enhanced my experience by the positive feelings they left me with. It was with a heavy heart that I departed the region for the more cosmopolitan areas of Chile, but I am comforted by the fact that I hope one day to return to experience more of this unique world.
