Early in the morning you are picked up from your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valley and transfer to Pachar. Here, receive your safety briefing and equipment as well as a brief practice in the flat parts of the river. Admire the spectacular views of the mountains and archaeological sites on the way towards Ollantaytambo and its amazing Inca terraces in between the class II and III rapids. Finish the three hour trip on the river with “El Resbaladero” (The Slide), a strong class III rapid that includes waves and small whirlpools. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant located on the riverside and owned by the local community before you proceed to Ollantaytambo for a guided visit. Return to Cusco in the evening.
This trip is approximately 7 hours total with 1.5 hours on the water. The difficulty level is easy with Class II and III rapids. No prior experience required.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
