Day 1: Via Ferrata and Zipline

  • 1 Lunch
Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and driven through the Sacred Valley. The Via Ferrata is a path used to climb a mountain with a safety system permanently installed. It gives people without any experience in climbing the opportunity to move through spectacular mountain scenery using a minimum of equipment. The climber is permanently tied to a steel cable that runs through the entire route. Metal ladders, bridges and similar facilities are used. This helps maintain the physical difficulty of climbing and mix beginners skills while providing access to a very high, and extreme vertical sections of a mountain, that could only be accessible to experienced rock climbers. Anyone who is in good health and physical condition is able to climb the via ferrata. The minimum age to climb the Sacred Valley via ferrata is 7 years old. Without exception, the climbers must always be accompanied by a guide.

After completing your 400 meter climb up the mountainside, rappel and zip line all the way back down to the valley floor!

This trip is approximately 6 hours total. The difficulty level is easy with moderate and advanced routes available. Requires group minumum of four travelers.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
