Volunteer in Peru

Adventure Life's guides and partners has identified the poorest families in the Cachiccata community. The elements can cause damage to homes over time, and many families do not have the extra means to make renovations to their homes. During this 4 day/3 night trip, participants, side-by-side with the family members, will work on cleaning, repairing, and restoring their homes. We stay in the community campground each night to immerse ourselves in the village life. The trip ends with traditional Inca ceremony and offering as a time to reflect over the previous days' experiences.

Group service project in the Cachiccata community combined with visit of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. Participants, side-by-side with the family members, will work on cleaning, repairing, and restoring homes, planting native trees, and visiting school and supporting a healthy breakfast project. We stay in the community campground each night to immerse ourselves in the village life.

This two-day service oriented trip helps local communities offset the negative consequences of modernization that impacts the Andes. The service project will allow travelers to go into the community and help families collect waste, separate it based on recyclables, biodegradable/compostable waste, and disposable garbage and educate and promote composting and recycling efforts in local communities surrounding the Sacred Valley.

This 1-day service opportunity from Ollantaytambo takes you first to the market to purchase food followed by a day of distributing it as breakfast in the local communities of Rumira, Pachar, Piri or Camicancha. You will get to know the kids who live in this region along the way.
