Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Welcome to Cape Town! You are met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. You are then shown to your awaiting transfer vehicle. Settle into Kensington Place located on the slopes of Table Mountain. Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, a bottle of wine in your room, and a free gym membership at nearby Virgin Active during your stay. There are numerous excellent restaurant options a short drive away.
With easy access to the waterfront, spend the next couple of days exploring Cape Town on your own. Additional tours to Robben Island, Table Mountain or Cape Peninsula are offered for an additional cost.
On the morning of Day 4, take your private transfer to the Cape Town Airport for your flight to the Hoedspruit Airport. A private transfer is provided from the airport to your safari lodge. Tanda Tula Safari Camp is a tented camp situated in the unfenced Timbavati Private Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Set on the banks of the Nharalumi riverbed, Tanda Tula is shaded by large majestic trees, surrounded by riverine bush and overlooking an active waterhole.
Activities at Tanda Tula include morning and afternoon game drives, bush walks, and overnight walking safaris (additional fee).
On the morning of Day 7, board an early morning lodge-hop flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport then fly onward to Vilanculos Airport. From there, board the helicopter for your flight to your lodge, &Beyond Benguerra Island Lodge, where you can settle in and relax for the next three days.
Located on the protected north-west side of Benguerra Island, just 14km offshore from mainland Mozambique, is the relaxing Benguerra Lodge. Surrounded by turquoise Indian Ocean waters and white sandy beaches, it is a short scenic helicopter flight to Benguerra’s tropical setting.
Activities offered at Benguerra include sea kayaking, sunset cruises and village visits. The fully equipped PADI dive center offers snorkeling excursions, fishing charters, horse riding, and picnics.
Day 10: Fly to Vilanculos Airport | Johannesburg | Return Home
Transfer by helicopter back to Vilanculos Airport for your afternoon flight to OR Tambo International Aiport in Johannesburg (included in tour cost).
