See the most extraordinary species of penguin in Antarctica, the Emperor penguin. These penguins breed on the sea ice in mid-winter, keep their eggs safe atop their webbed feet and waddle dozens of miles across the ice to reach the sea to feed. Of the approximately 30 Emperor penguin colonies in Antarctica, the Snow Hill colony is the easiest to reach. Our icebreaker will cruise through the frozen Weddell Sea to come as close as possible to this colony of 4,000 Emperor penguins.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
