See the most extraordinary species of penguin in Antarctica, the Emperor penguin. These penguins breed on the sea ice in mid-winter, keep their eggs safe atop their webbed feet and waddle dozens of miles across the ice to reach the sea to feed. Of the approximately 30 Emperor penguin colonies in Antarctica, the Snow Hill colony is the easiest to reach. Our icebreaker will cruise through the frozen Weddell Sea to come as close as possible to this colony of 4,000 Emperor penguins.

Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Visit one of the 30 penguin colonies situated in Antarctica. Snow Hill is the easiest colony to reach and this is where your expedition focuses. Sail to the Weddell Sea for a close-up encounter of an approximate 4,000 emperor penguins wandering around.
