Day 1: Tuni Condoriri Hike

This morning you set off from La Paz for the two-and-a-half-hour drive to Tuni Lagoon. From here, start out at an altitude of 14,100 ft, walking through solitary mountains, keeping your eyes peeled for llamas and alpacas in the region and many smaller animals and gulls. The trek ascends progressively to 15,100 ft and passes by Tuni, Chojna, Khota, and Chiara-Khota lagoons along the way. At the top you will be rewarded with an impressive view of snow-covered Tuni Condoriri, named for its condor head shape. Enjoy lunch at the top before trekking the two and a half hours back down to the "Plaza de Llamas," where your transportation will be waiting to take you back to La Paz.

This is a full-day tour.
