The MS Summer is docked in Dubrovnik Gruz harbor, and embarkation is possible throughout the day. Passengers arriving in the morning cannot enter the cabins before 2 p.m., but can leave luggage on board. If the ship is not in port until the evening, luggage is taken care of and an excursion is organized.
In the evening, there is a welcome meeting where the Cruise Manager introduces the crew and fellow passengers. The welcome dinner is served at 7:30 p.m. The Captain waits for passengers arriving late at night, but advance notice is required. Dinner is provided for all late-arriving guests.
After breakfast, an English-speaking guide and coach arrive at the pier. The group heads to the center of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guide points out key landmarks and shares the city's rich history. Dubrovnik is also known as “The Pearl of the Adriatic.” After the tour, there is free time to explore on your own. You can walk the famous City Walls or take the cable car up Mount Srđ for wide views of the city and sea. The return transfer to the ship is scheduled between 12:30 and 1 p.m. Lunch is served on board before the ship departs for Slano, a quiet town on the mainland. Slano offers beaches, pine forests, olive groves, historic sites, and a peaceful setting on the Dubrovnik Riviera.
For those interested, there is an optional trip to Ston. This fortified town is known for its 5-kilometer-long walls, old saltworks, and oyster and mussel farms. You can sign up and pay for this excursion on the spot.
The day begins with a morning departure toward Mljet National Park. Upon arrival, there is time to explore the park, walk around the Great and Small Lakes, visit the Islet of St. Mary with its 12th-century Benedictine Monastery, and swim in the clear waters of the park. Entrance fees to the park are included. After lunch on board, the journey continues to the Island of Korčula, with arrival in the afternoon. In the morning, the ship cruises to the Island of Vis, with lunch served on board and a swim stop along the way. Arrival in Vis takes place in the afternoon. Compared to other Adriatic islands, Vis is rather unique. Being an important strategic military stronghold for centuries, Vis was spared the excessive tourist development and thus retained its unspoilt beaches, ecological agriculture and traditional architecture. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the town of Vis, its picturesque stone streets, pristine beaches and fine taverns. An optional excursion is available for those interested, including a visit to Komiža, a charming fishing village.
Start your day with a morning cruise towards the Island of Bisevo and its Blue Cave, one of the most famous natural attractions in the whole of the Adriatic Sea. Blue Cave is a water-logged cave that can be reached only by boat. Sometimes, high waves prevent entry, and this cannot be known until the scheduled visit time. If entry is not possible due to sea conditions, a full ticket refund is provided.
After a swim stop, and lunch on board, the cruise continues along coves and bays toward Hvar, the sunniest island in Croatia. Hvar is a popular tourist destination and a favorite among international visitors. Upon arrival, a local English-speaking guide leads a walk through the city, sharing its long history, culture, and way of life. The evening is yours to explore on your own and dine in one of the numerous family-owned restaurants and taverns.
In the morning, the cruise heads toward Bol, a place best known for Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape), a beach often listed among the most beautiful in Europe. After stopping in Bol, enjoy simple pleasures like walking through the charming Dalmatian town, having a coffee, or swimming, until lunch is served on board. After lunch, the journey continues toward Trogir, a city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with arrival in the afternoon. This town-museum is filled with palaces, churches, monasteries, and towers. A professional English-speaking guide leads a city tour of Trogir. After the tour, free time is available for personal exploration. In the evening, Captain’s Dinner takes place on board, with live music entertainment.
In the morning, the ship sails out for Split, the final port on this cruise, with a swim stop along the way. After lunch, an English-speaking guide leads an afternoon Split City tour, including a walk through the world-famous Diocletian’s Palace. Split is the second largest city in Croatia and the administrative center of the Split-Dalmatia County. Over 1700 years old, Split is rich in cultural and historical landmarks, many of which are located in the historic center, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
